The "I'm Good Bro" Trap
Most men are living on the surface. Ola was born to change that. Generally speaking, most women are much better at sharing and following up. Both sides leverage Ola to better communicate goals, life change and accountability in men's, women's, and couples' small/life groups.
In the fall of 2019, Tommy Jon Penton met his buddy Greg at the BoatHouse Brothers Brewery in Prior Lake, MN. Greg challenged him: "Too many guys are shallow. A group of best friends think they know each other — it takes a tragedy to realize they don't."
Greg pulled out a tracking sheet. The light bulb went on. For the first time in almost 20 years of men's groups, real accountability was in play.
From that conversation, GCrossSurf was born — planning with God, Christ, Holy Spirit. It later became Ola (wave in Spanish) — simple, powerful, and built for the bold.
"The comfort zone equals the fade zone. The bold will lead."
Are you in the trap?
Your last 3 conversations stayed shallow (sports, hobbies, weather)?
If nothing changes, where are you in 5 years in Faith, Family, Health?
Is there one Christian you could call right now if your world fell apart?
These are the questions the Ola Guide is built around.
